Aviation Supervisor Training 11.2.4

Aviation supervisor training is designed for any person that is responsible for delegating or instructing other within their department. The aviation supervisor 11.2.4 training course provides attendees with greater insight into the leadership role with specific emphasis on the security aspect.
The aviation supervisor training 11.2.4 is not for any specific sector and attendees should have security training completed in their own sector before taking part in the supervisor training, for example air cargo security, supplier training, airport security etc.
Our aviation instructor (Philip Beggs), is certified by the IAA (Irish Aviation Authority) and all courses are presented via an Approved Security Training Organisation (ASTO), ensuring all course content and legislation is fully up to date.

 

This course will cover the following topics.

  • (a) Relevant legal requirements and how they should be met.
    (b) Knowledge of supervisory tasks.
    (c) Internal quality control.
    (d) Ability to respond appropriately to the detection of prohibited articles.
    (e) Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
    (f) Providing mentoring and on-the-job training and to motivate others.
    (g) Knowledge of conflict management.
    (h) Capabilities / limitations of security equipment / screening methods.

Who is this course designed for?

Any person within an approved entities premises that is responsible to the supervising of personnel with access into secure areas. This includes managers and supervisors within a known consignors premises, regulated agent, certified haulier, known supplier, regulated suppliers or supervisor / team leader within an airports security restricted area are required to complete aviation supervisor training to the competencies of 11.2.4.
The main objective is to ensure that team-leader, supervisors and managers within aviation security sensitive areas can apply a standardised level of preventative aviation security measures and understand the provisions of the Company Security Programme in order to provide effective leadership skills within their organisation.
On successful completion of this course participants will be awarded an Aviation Supervisor security training certificate stating the competencies of 11.2.4 have been completed. Certification is valid for a period of 3 years or when there have been updates of amendments to national security requirements that relate to this sector.
